. . so he was telling me about
this amazing experience . . . because he had been
able to meet the person able to help..... he was walking
into the submarine, and entering this place.......
different to any other place, and he could take the
time to...... notice the feeling of entering a unique
experience......... and a person can notice a certain
sense of going down...... as the submarine continues
to go down....... and a person can notice that the
deeper you go.........the more pleasurable the experience
can be,........... and he says that to experience
this journey was to have a delightful learning experience..........
and as he did return to this level of experience.......
he says that he told himself, "everything will be
different from now on, because of this experience"....
because a person does not necessarily notice certain
changes immediately . . .

Hi Nathan - yes it probably
could do with a bit of an explanation - I designed
it specifically for a person who had a tremor in their
hands which they were unable to control (consciously
anyway). The metaphor works on the assumption that
the tremor is caused by unequal contractions from
the antagonistic muscles within the hand, as such
the two 'teams' refer to the groups of muscles, trying
to keep the object of their efforts - the 'rag' (actually
the hands) in a position which is deemed best by the
whole 'team' (ie the whole person).
The metaphor assumes also that
people know how the tug of war game is played! - with
a rag tied over the middle of the rope, to be used
as an indicator of which team is winning. Hope this
is better suited. Thanks again!
