As you go through life....
you may sometimes find yourself unsure of where exactly
you are going.
Like a man walking across what
seems like an endless open field......... you may
find that you have gotten too caught up in the process
of walking........ and forgotten exactly where you
were going.
That's easy to do sometimes.
And like that man in the field......
you may want to stop from time to time, catch your
breath..... and get your bearings.
In the open field, the man
may want to look around for a small hill to climb
in order to get a better vantage point. From the higher
vantage point you can stop to look back on where you
came from and look ahead to see where you're headed.
It's perfectly ok to stop from
time to time, move to a better vantage point, and
just review where you've been. You can look back on
what you've been doing, where, and with whom.....
and just acknowledge it without getting all tangled
up in what might have been, or should have been.
The past is past..... and now
you can see what you did right..... and what you might
have done better.... and take that knowledge as you
decide where you want to go from here.
You may find it valuable from
time to time to climb that hill,.... just rest for
a bit,.... and review where you've been. Then it will
be easier to see where you want to go...... because
taking control of your life and decding where you
want to go will be just that much easier'. Steve Benson.
