The Meta4 Bank
Welcome! This section of the site
is a dedicated area for the FREE sharing of hypnotic
/ therapeutic metaphors, or 'teaching tales'. The aim is
to provide a 'member only' resource, for those therapists
and professional communicators who understand the elegance
of metaphorical communication, and who occasionally need
fresh ideas and approaches in their work with clients. (Or
for anyone else who simply wishes to share and view such
metaphors).
Now in our third year, we have grown considerably,
with many quality entries from worldwide contributors, comprising
both novice & professional therapists! Our format is
one of a "symptom/situation specific" metaphor
listing, whereby members can access metaphor for specific
situations, as all contributions are listed in an A - Z
index! Therefore, a metaphor useful in working with a smoker,
can be found under the letter S, or weight-loss,
under W, etc etc...
To become a member, simply contribute
at least one therapeutic / hypnotic metaphor, with
a brief suggestion of where it's application may be useful.
You will then be sent an e-mail with your password
details, which grants permanent access to the bank, meaning
you should never be lost for appropriate words or idea's
